Wooden table legs - as you want them

A table leg in either matching wood or black wood from the same black can give a particularly beautiful look. It extends the natural shapes and colours of the table down towards the floor, and can make a carpentry table appear even more exclusive.

Table legs make a big visual difference on a plank dining table, such as an oak table. You can choose some powerful legs that will give the table a rustic look, or you can choose an easier version for a simpler look.

All our wooden leg solutions are made in-house at carpentry. Here we have thought a lot about functionality in everyday life. This means that we have our blacksmith make both our special brackets but also metal legs, so that the construction under the table is as light and strong as possible. These solutions are obviously not something you see in everyday life, but you feel it.

At Kaerbygaard , we can even make the table legs in the same wood and oiled as the table top, which can give a really nice look. Wooden table legs have an additional price of 500,- per joinery table.

Tree legs are the natural choice

For many, wooden table legs are the most natural choice when choosing table legs. Wooden table legs give the plank table a complete natural look, as the legs are in the same matching material as the worktop.

We can easily make table legs in the same type of wood as your worktop, but if you want a different type of wood for your table legs, this can of course also be done.

Steel table legs

Modernity and elegance

Underframes for plank tables can also be made of metal. Our steel legs are often used for our tables, because a table with steel legs exudes modernity and elegance. This is where our skilled blacksmith, Nikolai, comes in. Just as the degree of quality in carpentry varies widely, so does it in blacksmithing. Steel table legs are incredibly robust, making them particularly suitable for large and heavy plank tables.

However, our blacksmith can make steel legs in all sorts of sizes and shapes - the sky's the limit. That's why we always recommend dropping by one of our showrooms, so you can see and feel the quality.
So you can get exactly the steel leg you want, whether it's a small, large, square or Round plank table, you order.

We always have a range of standard legs, which you can see in our showroom. They are available in two different heights, so we are sure to hit the right table height for your table. Steel table legs are timeless, won't fade and you won't have to worry quite so much about marks and scratches from, say, the vacuum cleaner. It can give an incredibly beautiful look to your joinery table.

We offer steel table legs in almost all colors and shades, but our most popular are cross legs with black or chrome color.

WE ALSO MANUFACTURE SPECIAL SOLUTIONS

If you have a different wish for the table leg, we will make a 3D drawing before we start, so you have the opportunity to visualise the solution before it is manufactured. Because we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality solutions, you won't find cheap plank table legs here. Quality and price go hand in hand, and we pride ourselves on our handmade tables and table legs, which are made from scratch every time.

Choose right the first time

It can be a bit of a jungle to figure out what kind of wood, finish and finished look you want with your new carpentry furniture.

There can be very big differences in how the final wood looks if you choose walnut over oak, for example.
- In addition, the wood can be affected in different directions, depending on the treatment applied.

Here are therefore just a few tips to choose from the most typical woods and coatings.

Surface treatment

oak

oak can vary greatly in expression, and when adding oil to the tree, these variations can really bloom. Therefore, oak be cared for in almost any expression you want.

Like walnut, oak is also solid and very durable.
We usually look at the unique piece of wood and then make recommendations on which will work best for color and play, but if you want a very dark or light plank, that can usually be accommodated.

In addition to oils, we also like to smoke the wood in a special oven, which creates some more shades of gray in dark tones. It makes for a super nice dark piece of furniture!

Here are the most selected coatings:

Dark and smoked oiled oak

Nature-oiled oak

White pigmented and neutral-oiled oak

Surface treatment:

walnut and elm wood

Walnut and elm wood are ALWAYS in our natural oil.
walnut is a solid wood species which gets especially a warm-brownish and more exotic colours. The wood can in theory be affected in colour by the wood, somewhat to the same extent as beech and oak for example, but is generally not something we recommend as it does not absorb it as nicely.

At Kaerbygaard , walnut furniture ALWAYS comes with a natural oil, which gives the wood a more reddish or reddish-brown appearance.

Too elm wood the same conditions apply. elm wood has a more brownish than reddish tinge, and can have large shade differences from plank to plank.

Varnish, oil or smoke?

As mentioned, we offer both oil and smoke, but should you burn to treat your plank table lacquer, we also have the opportunity to do so. Varnish can make the surfaces more mirror-smooth and hardy, but can also cause a little more maintenance problems, as it is harder to finish at home.

We therefore recommend one of the other two solutions as a starting point.
